  • Java is the the most populated of Indonesia's islands and is also the centre of government (in Jakarta).
  • Some of it is industrialised, other parts extremely beautiful.
  • Highly volcanic, it's highlights include the volcanoes Merapi and Bromo.
  • Java is also home to the wonderful temples of Borobudur and Prambanan.
