to the site. Bristol is where it is happening, right now.
The aim is to promote recently-established and new talent
on the Bristol music scene - these musicians are mixing a variety of
styles to create what many are referring to as nu-jazz.
Jazz is difficult to define but its melodies, chord structures and rhythms
have become part of current music in so many ways - blues, swing, funk,
latin, acid-jazz, acoustic or electric - these artists are drawing on
all of these.
Bristol
and the surrounding area has produced, and continues to produce, some
brilliant, exciting and versatile musicians - guitarists, saxophonists,
vocalists, keyboard players and many, many more. This site aims to celebrate
the variety of music that is currently being produced and give a background
to some of the talent.
Jazz
in its broadest sense is still gaining in popularity and acclaim and the
new breed of musicians are providing a new and accessible take on this
