Bristol-based collective have been doing their funky latin
jazz and swing thing in every lowdown and cool hangout this
side of el Rio Severn (with occasional foraging on the other
side too). Whether it's a cool trio or the loud and
proud five-piece, The Cool Nachos are the the soured cream,
the medium-hot salsa, the rum, the coke, the lime, the sugar
and the attractive waiter or waitress - is there anything else
you require?
Who
are these Cool Nachos
...?
The
cool head hombre is vocalist and guitarist Nick Langston
taking time from promoting his critically-acclaimed new album
'Captivated'.
Sax
duties are shared by the likes of cool gaucho Andy
Kinsman, jazzman Kevin Figes and Aussie dude John Pratt when he's not
doing his Mango Factory thang.
Keyboards
are fought over by the collective genius of the likes Dale Hambridge,
John Martin, Andy Christie and Phil Blandford.
Bass
hombres include Mankala's Sol Ahmed, Sheelanagig's Dorian
Sutton or the funky vibes of Valere Speranza, Greg
Cordez, or Phil
Olds.
And
the funky drummers include Mike Davis, Kevin
O'Rourke, Greg White and Andy
Roger.
